Bees & Wasps Sydney
A wasp nest by the back door or a hive in the wall is a real danger — stings are painful and, for some, life-threatening. We identify what you've got, treat and remove the nest safely, and where it's a healthy honey-bee hive we'll arrange relocation where we can rather than destroy it.

One sighting usually means many more hidden
Wasps and bees turn a backyard into a no-go zone fast. European wasps in particular are aggressive, sting repeatedly and build big hidden nests that grow all summer — a serious risk around children, pets and anyone with an allergy.
We treat the nest at its source so the whole colony is dealt with, then remove or seal it and make the area safe. Honey bees are different: they're vital pollinators, so wherever we can we'll arrange to relocate a healthy hive rather than destroy it.
More than just a nuisance
Painful, repeated stings
Unlike bees, wasps can sting again and again — and a disturbed nest will defend itself aggressively.
Allergic reactions
For some people a sting can trigger anaphylaxis — a medical emergency that needs immediate care.
Nests grow fast
A small spring nest can hold thousands of wasps by late summer, hidden in a wall, roof or garden bank.
Right by the home
Eaves, sheds, wall cavities and outdoor areas put nests exactly where your family spends time.

Types of bees & wasps we treat
Telling a wasp from a bee — and which wasp — changes everything about how it's treated. Here's what we deal with most around Sydney homes.
From $169European Wasp
Bright yellow-and-black, aggressive and a serious pest. Builds large concealed nests in wall cavities, roofs and ground banks and can sting repeatedly — a real danger near outdoor dining.
How we treat it
Targeted dusting of the nest entrance so returning wasps carry it in and destroy the nest, then removal or sealing.
From $149Paper Wasp
Slender orange-brown wasp that builds open, umbrella-shaped nests under eaves, pergolas and in shrubs. Less aggressive than European wasps, but stings readily when disturbed.
How we treat it
Direct nest treatment and removal from eaves, entries and play areas.
From $189Honey Bee
Amber-and-brown and fuzzy. Usually docile, but a swarm or an established hive inside a wall or chimney needs careful handling — and bees are too valuable to waste.
How we treat it
Where possible we arrange relocation of a healthy hive; otherwise we treat and remove safely, then seal the cavity.
From $139Mud-dauber Wasp
A solitary, slender wasp with a long thread-like waist that builds distinctive mud nests on walls and under eaves. Rarely aggressive, but unsightly and persistent.
How we treat it
Removal of the mud nests and a residual treatment to deter rebuilding.
How we get rid of them
Identify & locate
We confirm the species and track down the nest, including hidden ones in walls, roofs and ground banks.
Treat the nest
Targeted treatment so the colony is destroyed at its source — not just the wasps you can see.
Remove or make safe
We remove accessible nests, seal entry points, and relocate healthy bee hives wherever we can.

Keep them from coming back
Simple habits that make your place far less inviting between treatments.
- Keep outdoor bins sealed and clear sweet drinks and food in summer.
- Check eaves, pergolas and sheds early in the season for new nests.
- Seal gaps in walls, roofs and weep holes where wasps get in.
- Never swat at or disturb a nest — it provokes the whole colony.
- Cover compost and pet food and rinse recycling.
- Call early — a small nest is far safer, easier and cheaper to treat.
Your questions, answered
Is it a bee or a wasp?
Wasps are smooth, brightly yellow-and-black and can sting repeatedly; bees are fuzzy, amber-brown and usually sting only once. If you're not sure, send us a photo and we'll tell you.
Do you relocate bees instead of killing them?
Wherever it's practical, yes — for a healthy honey-bee swarm or hive we'll arrange relocation rather than destroy it. Some wall or chimney hives can't be saved, and we'll be upfront about that.
Can I remove a wasp nest myself?
We strongly advise against it. Disturbed wasps swarm and sting en masse, which is dangerous — especially if anyone is allergic. We have the protective gear and the right treatment to do it safely.
How quickly can you come out?
We prioritise wasp and bee jobs, particularly where there are children or anyone with an allergy — usually same or next day.
