Cockroach Control Sydney
Cockroaches contaminate food, trigger asthma and breed alarmingly fast. We treat the species you actually have — rapid-breeding German roaches indoors or large American roaches from drains and voids — with precision baiting and residual barriers that keep working for months, all backed by our warranty.

One sighting usually means many more hidden
Cockroaches are one of Sydney's most common — and most stubborn — household pests. They breed fast, hide in the warm cavities of your kitchen and bathroom, and contaminate every surface they cross. By the time you spot one in daylight, there are usually dozens more out of sight.
Tufan's cockroach control is built around the exact species you have. We identify it, treat the colony at its source with family & pet-safe gels and residual barriers, and back the result with a warranty — so they're gone for good, not just until next week.
More than just a nuisance
Asthma & allergies
Droppings, shed skins and saliva are potent indoor allergens that trigger asthma and eczema — especially in children.
Food contamination
They crawl from drains and bins straight across benches, plates and food, spreading bacteria as they go.
Disease & bacteria
Cockroaches carry salmonella, E. coli and gastro bugs picked up in sewers, waste and decaying matter.
Fast, hidden breeding
A single German female can lead to thousands in a year — see one in the day and many more are hidden nearby.

Types of cockroach we treat
There are over 3,500 species of cockroach worldwide, but only a handful invade Sydney homes and businesses. These are the ones we treat most — and each one needs a slightly different approach.
From $179German Cockroach
Small (10–15mm), light tan with two dark stripes behind the head. Lives and breeds indoors in warm, humid spots — kitchen hinges, appliances and voids. The fastest-multiplying species and the hardest to clear without baiting.
How we treat it
Precision gel baiting plus an insect growth regulator over several visits to break the breeding cycle at its source.
From $159American Cockroach
The big one (28–44mm), glossy reddish-brown and able to fly. Comes up from drains, grease traps, subfloors and wall voids — the classic large roach seen across Sydney.
How we treat it
Residual barrier spray with targeted baiting in drains, subfloors and voids where they harbour and enter.
From $149Australian Cockroach
Outdoor species (30–35mm), dark brown with distinctive pale-yellow margins along the front of the wings. Lives in subfloors, gardens and mulch and moves indoors in warm weather.
How we treat it
Perimeter and harbourage treatment around the home, plus subfloor and garden-edge spraying to stop them entering.
From $169Brown-banded Cockroach
Small (10–14mm), tan with two pale bands across the wings. Unlike German roaches it prefers warm, dry, high spots — inside furniture, electronics, picture frames and ceiling voids.
How we treat it
Targeted gel baiting in upper voids, furniture and appliances where this species hides and breeds.
From $159Smoky Brown Cockroach
Large (30–35mm), uniform dark mahogany and glossy. A strong flier that loses moisture easily, so it shelters in subfloors, roof voids and mulch and is drawn to damp areas.
How we treat it
Roof void and subfloor dusting plus a residual perimeter barrier to cut off moisture-seeking entry points.
From $159Oriental Cockroach
Medium (20–25mm), very dark — almost black. The ‘water bug’: it favours cool, damp areas, drains and sewers and is often found in subfloors and around leaking pipes.
How we treat it
Drain and subfloor treatment with a residual barrier, plus advice on fixing the moisture that draws them in.
How we get rid of them
Inspect & identify
We find the harbourage and confirm the species, so the treatment is matched to the roach you actually have.
Targeted gel baiting
Professional-grade gel placed in hinges, voids and motor housings — the spots the colony feeds and shelters in.
Residual barrier & dust
Long-lasting residual to skirtings, entry points, roof void and subfloor to wipe out stragglers and stop re-entry.
Prevent & guarantee
Proofing advice and a 6–12 month warranty. If they come back in that window, so do we — free.

Keep them from coming back
Simple habits that make your place far less inviting between treatments.
- Wipe benches and sweep crumbs each night — and don't leave pet food out after dark.
- Fix leaks and dry sinks; cockroaches can't last long without water.
- Seal gaps around pipes, skirtings and door seals where they slip in.
- Take bins out regularly and keep tight-fitting lids.
- Declutter cardboard, paper and bags in warm, hidden corners.
- Clean behind and under the fridge, oven and dishwasher.
Your questions, answered
Are your cockroach treatments safe for kids and pets?
Yes. We risk-assess every job and use products approved for homes. People and pets just stay off treated areas until they're dry — usually an hour or two — and gels are placed out of reach in cracks and voids.
How long does it take to get rid of cockroaches?
You'll usually see a sharp drop within days. A German cockroach infestation clears over about two to three weeks as the bait cycles through the colony, including newly hatched nymphs.
Why do cockroaches keep coming back?
Almost always a missed harbourage or a water source. Our treatment targets the source rather than the few you see, and includes proofing advice plus a warranty so they don't simply return.
Do I need to empty the kitchen before you come?
No major prep needed — we'll let you know if anything helps. For German cockroaches, reducing competing food and clutter lets the bait work faster.
Is one treatment enough?
Light infestations are often sorted in a single visit. Heavy German infestations can need a follow-up, which is covered under the warranty.
